A SENATE RESOLUTION

TO COMMEND JOYE G. BODIE FOR HER DEDICATION AND COMMITMENT TO THE U.S. POSTAL SERVICE, HER ELECTION AS PRESIDENT OF THE NATIONAL RURAL LETTER CARRIER'S AUXILIARY FOR 2002-2003, AND FOR HER PROMOTION OF THE "MAKE A WISH FOUNDATION OF AMERICA."

Whereas, Joye G. Bodie is a resident of Ward, South Carolina; and

Whereas, in August of 2002, Ms. Bodie was elected by the National Rural Letter Carrier's Auxiliary to be its President for the 2002-2003 term during its national convention in Portland, Maine; and

Whereas, prior to that, Ms. Bodie served as the Vice President of the National Rural Letter Carrier's Auxiliary's for the 2001-2002 term; and

Whereas, Ms. Bodie previously served on the governing board of the National Rural Letter Carrier's Auxiliary for three years prior to her service as Vice President; and

Whereas, Ms. Bodie has selected the "Make a Wish Foundation of America" as the humanitarian/charity project for the National Rural Letter Carrier's Auxiliary to promote during the 2002-2003 year. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the Senate:

That the members of the Senate, by this resolution, wish to commend Joye G. Bodie for her election as President of the National Rural Letter Carrier's Auxiliary, her dedication and commitment to the United States Postal Service, and for her promotion of the "Make a Wish Foundation of America."

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Joye G. Bodie.
