Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:
SECTION 1. The regulations of the Board of Education, relating to Basic Skills Assessment Program-Writing Text: Minimum Standards of Student Achievement; Scoring Criteria, designated as Regulation Document Number 2749, and submitted to the General Assembly pursuant to the provisions of Article 1, Chapter 23, Title 1 of the 1976 Code, are approved.

Not all standards of student achievement are codified in regulation. The Department proposes that standards of student achievement be a matter of public record through information and policy rather than through regulation.
