INVITATIONS AND MEMORIAL RESOLUTIONS

To whom was referred a Concurrent Resolution (H. 4290) to request the Department of Transportation to name that portion of South Carolina Secondary Highway 77 in Anderson County from South Carolina Highway 20 to Beaver Dam Road, etc., respectfully

That they have duly and carefully considered the same and recommend that the same do pass:

A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION

TO REQUEST THE DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION TO NAME THAT PORTION OF SOUTH CAROLINA SECONDARY HIGHWAY 77 IN ANDERSON COUNTY FROM SOUTH CAROLINA HIGHWAY 20 TO BEAVER DAM ROAD (SOUTH CAROLINA SECONDARY HIGHWAY 75) IN HONOR OF MR. DAVID R. CHASTAIN AND TO INSTALL APPROPRIATE MARKERS ON SIGNS ON THE BRIDGE CONTAINING THE WORDS "DAVID R. CHASTAIN HIGHWAY".

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives, the Senate concurring:

That the members of the South Carolina General Assembly, by this resolution, request the Department of Transportation to name that portion of South Carolina Secondary Highway 77 in Anderson County from South Carolina Highway 20 to Beaver Dam Road (South Carolina Secondary Highway 75) in honor of Mr. David R. Chastain and to install appropriate markers on signs on the bridge containing the words "David R. Chastain Highway".

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to the Department of Transportation.
