A SENATE RESOLUTION

TO COMMEND MR. AND MRS. RUSTY HARRIS OF COLUMBIA AND FORMERLY OF AIKEN, FOR BEING OUTSTANDING CITIZENS AND COMMUNITY LEADERS IN SOUTH CAROLINA AND TO WISH THEM GODSPEED AS THEIR FAMILY MOVES TO GASTONIA, NORTH CAROLINA, WHERE RUSTY HARRIS WILL PERFORM NEW DUTIES AS A SCANA CORPORATE EXECUTIVE.

Whereas, the members of the Senate with deep regret have learned that Mr. and Mrs. Rusty Harris and their three children will be moving to Gastonia, North Carolina, where he will begin a new assignment as a corporate executive with SCANA; and

Whereas, before moving to Columbia, the Harris family resided in Aiken and in each location they became an integral part of their community; and

Whereas, Rusty Harris through his work in the utilities industry, and LeeAnn Harris through her work as a teacher have enriched the lives of so many people; and

Whereas, their children, Will, Jack, and Carlisle have endeared themselves to so many of their friends; and

Whereas, the members of the Senate, by this resolution, would like to thank the Harris family for being wonderful South Carolina citizens, and want them to know that should the family return to South Carolina they will be welcomed with open arms. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the Senate:

That the members of the Senate commend Mr. and Mrs. Rusty Harris of Columbia and formerly of Aiken, for being outstanding citizens and community leaders in South Carolina and wish them Godspeed as their family moves to Gastonia, North Carolina, where Rusty Harris will perform new duties as a SCANA corporate executive.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Mr. and Mrs. Rusty Harris.
