A SENATE RESOLUTION

TO CONGRATULATE THE HONORABLE MAX ANDRES MEEK, SR., OF AIKEN COUNTY UPON HIS RETIREMENT AFTER SERVING AS A MAGISTRATE JUDGE FOR AIKEN COUNTY FOR TWENTY-FIVE YEARS, TO COMMEND HIM FOR HIS DEDICATION AND HARD WORK, AND TO WISH HIM MUCH SUCCESS AND HAPPINESS IN ALL OF HIS FUTURE ENDEAVORS.

Whereas, Judge Max Andres Meek, Sr., is retiring after twenty-five years of service to Aiken County as a magistrate judge. He was appointed on July 28, 1978, and will retire in June 2003; and

Whereas, in 1992, Judge Meek became the Chief Magistrate for Aiken County, and held that position until 2000, when he became Associate Chief Magistrate; and

Whereas, Judge Meek provided an invaluable service to the citizens of Aiken County and will be sorely missed for his counseling and trusted advice; and

Whereas, the members of the Senate are proud to recognize the Honorable Max Andres Meek, Sr., for his distinguished service as a magistrate judge. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the Senate:

That the members of the Senate congratulate the Honorable Max Andres Meek, Sr., of Aiken County upon his retirement after serving as a magistrate judge for Aiken County for twenty-five years, commend him for his dedication and hard work, and wish him much success and happiness in all of his future endeavors.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to the Honorable Max Andres Meek, Sr., of Aiken County.
