Be it resolved by the Senate, the House of Representatives concurring:

That the Senate and the House of Representatives shall meet in joint assembly in the Hall of the House of Representatives on Wednesday, February 15, 2006, at 12:00 noon to elect a successor to the Honorable Costa M. Pleicones, Justice of the Supreme Court, Seat 2, whose term expires July 31, 2006; to elect a successor to the Honorable Thomas E. Huff, Judge of the Court of Appeals, Seat 8, whose term expires June 30, 2006; to elect a successor to the Honorable Thomas W. Cooper, Jr., Judge of the Circuit Court for the Third Judicial Circuit, Seat 1, whose term expires June 30, 2010; to elect a successor to the Honorable Howard P. King, Judge of the Circuit Court for the Third Judicial Circuit, Seat 2, whose term expires June 30, 2006; to elect a successor to the Honorable J. Michael Baxley, Judge of the Circuit Court for the Fourth Judicial Circuit, Seat 2, whose term expires June 30, 2006; to elect a successor to the Honorable L. Casey Manning, Judge of the Circuit Court for the Fifth Judicial Circuit, Seat 2, whose term expires June 30, 2006; to elect a successor to the Honorable Roger L. Couch, Judge of the Circuit Court for the Seventh Judicial Circuit, Seat 2, whose term expires June 30, 2006; to elect a successor to the Honorable James W. Johnson, Jr., Judge of the Circuit Court for the Eighth Judicial Circuit, Seat 2, whose term expires June 30, 2006; to elect a successor to the Honorable Daniel F. Pieper, Judge of the Circuit Court for the Ninth Judicial Circuit, Seat 2, whose term expires June 30, 2006; to elect a successor to the Honorable Alexander S. Macaulay, Judge of the Circuit Court for the Tenth Judicial Circuit, Seat 2, whose term expires June 30, 2006; to elect a successor to the Honorable William Paul Keesley, Judge of the Circuit Court for the Eleventh Judicial Circuit, Seat 1, whose term expires June 30, 2006; to elect a successor to the late Honorable Marc H. Westbrook, Judge of the Circuit Court for the Eleventh Judicial Circuit, Seat 2, whose term expires June 30, 2006; to elect a successor to the Honorable John C. Few, Judge of the Circuit Court for the Thirteenth Judicial Circuit, Seat 2, whose term expires June 30, 2006; to elect a successor to the Honorable Perry M. Buckner III, Judge of the Circuit Court for the Fourteenth Judicial Circuit, Seat 1, whose term expires June 30, 2006; to elect a successor to the Honorable Jackson V. Gregory, Judge of the Circuit Court for the Fourteenth Judicial Circuit, Seat 2, to fill the unexpired term which expires June 30, 2009; to elect a successor to the Honorable Stephen S. Bartlett, Judge of the Family Court for the Thirteenth Judicial Circuit, Seat 1, to fill the unexpired term which expires June 30, 2007, and the subsequent full term which expires June 30, 2013; and to elect a successor to the Honorable Ralph K. Anderson III, Judge of the Administrative Law Court, Seat 6, whose term expires June 30, 2006.

Be it further resolved that all nominations must be made by the Chairman of the Judicial Merit Selection Commission and that no further nominating or seconding speeches may be made by members of the General Assembly on behalf of any candidate.
