A SENATE RESOLUTION

CONGRATULATING LIEUTENANT ARLIE D. TINSLEY ON HIS RETIREMENT AND COMMENDING HIM FOR HIS YEARS OF TIRELESS DEDICATION.

Whereas, Lieutenant Tinsley served with the South Carolina Highway Patrol from February 16, 1992 until June 30, 1993; and

Whereas, he continued his work with the State Transport Police from July 1, 1993 until his retirement on December 31, 2005; and

Whereas, Lieutenant Tinsley was a member of the FBI Joint Task Force; and

Whereas, he was a member of the Governor's Competitive Shooting team and placed first in the Special Aggregate category for master level state competitors at the 2004 National Rifle Association's Police Shooting Championships; and

Whereas, Lieutenant Tinsley finished his career as Lieutenant over the Upper State Transport Police. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the Senate:

That the members of the South Carolina Senate, by this resolution, congratulate Lieutenant Arlie D. Tinsley on his retirement and commend him for his years of tireless dedication.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Lieutenant Arlie D. Tinsley.
