VERSIONS OF THIS BILL
TO AMEND THE CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, BY ADDING SECTION 2-7-27 SO AS TO PROVIDE THAT ALL LEGISLATION CONSIDERED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY MUST BE DRAFTED SO THAT A PERSON WITH A HIGH SCHOOL EDUCATION CAN CLEARLY UNDERSTAND IT.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:
SECTION 1. The 1976 Code is amended by adding:
"Section 2-7-27. All legislation considered by the General Assembly must be drafted so that a person with a high school education can clearly understand it."
SECTION 2. This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
