A BILL

TO AMEND SECTION 1-3-240, AS AMENDED, CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, RELATING TO THE REMOVAL OF OFFICERS BY THE GOVERNOR, SO AS TO ADD THE SOUTH CAROLINA PUBLIC SERVICE AUTHORITY BOARD OF DIRECTORS TO THE OFFICERS WHO MAY BE REMOVED BY THE GOVERNOR.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

SECTION    1.    Section 1-3-240(C) of the 1976 Code, as amended by Act 175 of 2004, is further amended by adding a new subitem to be appropriately numbered to read:

"( )    South Carolina Public Service Authority."

SECTION    2.    This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
