A HOUSE RESOLUTION

RECOGNIZING AND COMMENDING MRS. RUTH BROWN OF RICHLAND COUNTY ON THE OCCASION OF MOTHER'S DAY FOR HER EXCEPTIONAL DEVOTION TO HER CHURCH, FAMILY, AND MANY FRIENDS.

Whereas, Mrs. Ruth Brown of Richland County is the mother of two children, has ten grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren; and

Whereas, she is a member of New Ebenezer Baptist Church where she is a past member of the pastor's aide committee, and a member of both the senior group and the Jubilee Choir; and

Whereas, since retiring from employment with Richland County School District Two in 1992, she has remained active by devoting her time to the activities of the Council on Aging and the Haskell Heights Community Center; and

Whereas, she encourages all young people to "get an education" which will benefit them throughout their lives; and

Whereas, it is fitting and proper for the members of the House of Representatives to honor Mrs. Ruth Brown by recognizing her on the occasion of Mother's Day. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives:

That the members of the House of Representatives, by this resolution, hereby recognize and commend Mrs. Ruth Brown of Richland County on the occasion of Mother's Day for her exceptional devotion to her church, family, and many friends.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be presented to Mrs. Ruth Brown.
