VERSIONS OF THIS BILL
TO RECOGNIZE AND HONOR ASHLEY HILLARY MARTIN FOR HER OUTSTANDING CONTRIBUTIONS TO THE SOUTH CAROLINA HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES AND TO WISH HER THE BEST IN ALL FUTURE ENDEAVORS.
Whereas, the South Carolina House of Representatives takes great pride in commending one of its own who tirelessly gave of her time and talents as she served the South Carolina House of Representatives; and
Whereas, Ashley Martin became Executive Assistant to Speaker David H. Wilkins in November of 2003; and
Whereas, Ms. Martin was an invaluable asset to South Carolina state government and the Office of the Speaker in particular. Her outgoing and friendly personality is greatly missed by members and staff alike, but all congratulate her on her new post as Executive Assistant to the United States Ambassador to Canada; and
Whereas, it is almost certain that Ms. Martin cannot stray from South Carolina for too long, as she is sure to return next fall to cheer on her beloved Gamecocks; and
Whereas, while the members of the South Carolina House of Representatives consider themselves fortunate to have known Ms. Martin, they are certain that she will continue to shine in her own unique way and be of great service in Canada. Now, therefore,
Be it resolved by the House of Representatives:
That the members of the House of Representatives of the State of South Carolina, by this resolution, recognize and honor Ashley Hillary Martin for her outstanding contributions to the South Carolina House of Representatives and wish her the best in all future endeavors.
Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Ms. Ashley Hillary Martin.
