A BILL

TO PROVIDE THAT SPARTANBURG COUNTY SCHOOL DISTRICT TWO IS DIRECTED TO TRANSFER A NINE ACRE TRACT OF LAND IN SPARTANBURG COUNTY TO THE BOILING SPRINGS FIRE DISTRICT AND TO PROVIDE THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF THE TRANSFER.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

SECTION    1.    Notwithstanding any other provision of law, Spartanburg County School District Two is directed to transfer to the Boiling Springs Fire District a nine acre tract of land in Spartanburg County on Double Ridge Road in Boiling Springs adjacent to the Boiling Springs Community Park presently leased to the Boiling Springs Community Park, a 501(c)(3) eleemosynary organization, upon the expiration of the lease. Consideration for the transfer must be paid by the fire district in an amount agreed to between the school district and the fire district, not to exceed the school district's cost basis in the property.

SECTION    2.    This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
