A BILL

TO PROVIDE THAT THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE CHARLESTON COUNTY SCHOOL DISTRICT MAY NOT HIRE A CONTRACT LOBBYIST USING PUBLIC OR TAXPAYER FUNDS.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

SECTION    1.    Notwithstanding any other provision of law, the Board of Trustees of the Charleston County School District may not hire a contract lobbyist using public or taxpayer funds.

SECTION    2.    This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
