VERSIONS OF THIS BILL
TO AMEND THE CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, BY ADDING SECTION 44-96-324 SO AS TO PROHIBIT SITING A SOLID WASTE LANDFILL WITHIN FIVE HUNDRED YARDS OF A COUNTY LINE.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:
SECTION 1. Article 2, Chapter 96, Title 44 of the 1976 Code is amended by adding:
"Section 44-96-324. Notwithstanding any other provision of law, a solid waste landfill may not be sited within five hundred yard of a county boundary line."
SECTION 2. This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
