TO APPROVE REGULATIONS OF THE DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC SAFETY, RELATING TO TRANSPORTATION OF UNMANUFACTURED FOREST PRODUCTS, DESIGNATED AS REGULATION DOCUMENT NUMBER 2972, PURSUANT TO THE PROVISIONS OF ARTICLE 1, CHAPTER 23, TITLE 1 OF THE 1976 CODE.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:
SECTION 1. The regulations of the Department of Public Safety, relating to Transportation of Unmanufactured Forest Products, designated as Regulation Document Number 2972, and submitted to the General Assembly pursuant to the provisions of Article 1, Chapter 23, Title 1 of the 1976 Code, are approved.
SECTION 2. This joint resolution takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
The Department proposes to amend regulations 38-390 et seq., relating to the transportation of unmanufactured forest products. The text of the new regulations will revise the existing regulations to incorporate additional federal safety regulations. The language of existing regulations will also be revised and new language will be added.
