TO COMMEND DR. BARBARA A. KINGSBY-STROBLE, ASSISTANT SUPERINTENDENT FOR DORCHESTER COUNTY SCHOOL DISTRICT TWO FOR A LIFETIME OF DEDICATION AND DEVOTION TO THE FIELD OF PUBLIC EDUCATION, AND TO WISH HER CONTINUED SUCCESS IN ALL OF HER FUTURE ENDEAVORS.
Whereas, Dr. Barbara A. Kingsby-Stroble earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from San Jose State University in 1966, a Masters of Arts degree from San Jose State University in 1970, and a Doctorate in Education degree from the University of Southern California in 1994; and
Whereas, from 1967 to 1991 she served as an instructor and administrator in the California public school system; and
Whereas, from 1994 to 1995 Dr. Kingsby-Stroble served as an Assistant Principal at Burke High School in the City of Charleston; and
Whereas, since 1995 she has served as an administrator for the Dorchester County School District Two School System and currently is employed as an Assistant Superintendent; and
Whereas, Dr. Kingsby-Stroble has received numerous awards including being named Principal of the Year for Santa Clara County, California in 1987 and being appointed to the Defense Advisory Committee on Women in the Services by the Secretary of Defense in 2001; and
Whereas, she is a member of the South Carolina Association of Personnel Administrators, the South Carolina Association for Supervision and Curriculum, and the Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development; and
Whereas, it is fitting and appropriate for the members of the General Assembly to pause in its deliberations to recognize Dr. Barbara A. Kingsby-Stroble for her dedicated service to the field of public education. Now, therefore,
Be it resolved by the Senate, the House of Representatives concurring:
That the members of the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina commend Dr. Barbara A. Kingsby-Stroble, Assistant Superintendent for Dorchester County School District Two for a lifetime of dedication and devotion to the field of public education, and to wish her continued success in all of her future endeavors.
Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be presented to Dr. Barbara A. Kingsby-Stroble.
