A BILL

TO AMEND THE CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, BY ADDING SECTION 51-3-54 SO AS TO PROVIDE THAT THE DEPARTMENT OF PARKS, RECREATION AND TOURISM MAY NOT CHARGE STATE RESIDENTS PARK USE FEES IN EXCESS OF TWO-THIRDS OF THE OUT-OF-STATE RESIDENT PARK USE FEES.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

SECTION    1.    Chapter 3, Title 51 of the 1976 Code is amended by adding:

"Section 51-3-54.    The Department of Parks, Recreation and Tourism may not charge state residents park use fees in excess of two-thirds of the out-of-state resident park use fees."

SECTION    2.    This act takes effect July 1, 2006.
