A BILL

TO AMEND SECTION 7-7-520, AS AMENDED, CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, RELATING TO THE DESIGNATION OF VOTING PRECINCTS IN WILLIAMSBURG COUNTY, SO AS TO ADD THE PERGAMOS VOTING PRECINCT IN WILLIAMSBURG COUNTY, AND TO REDESIGNATE A MAP NUMBER FOR THE MAP ON WHICH LINES OF THE AFFECTED PRECINCTS ARE DELINEATED AND MAINTAINED BY THE OFFICE OF RESEARCH AND STATISTICS OF THE STATE BUDGET AND CONTROL BOARD.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

SECTION    1.    Section 7-7-520 of the 1976 Code, as last amended by Act 130 of 2005, is further amended to read:

"Section 7-7-520.    (A)    In Williamsburg County there are the following voting precincts:

Black River

Bloomingvale

Cades

Cedar Swamp

Central

Earles

Greeleyville

Harmony

Hebron

Hemingway

Henry-Poplar Hill

Indiantown

Kingstree No. 1

Kingstree No. 2

Kingstree No. 3

Kingstree No. 4

Lane

Millwood

Morrisville

Mount Vernon

Muddy Creek

Nesmith

Pergamos

Piney Forest

Salters

Sandy Bay

Singletary

Suttons

Trio.

(B)    The precinct lines defining the precincts provided in subsection (A) are as shown on maps filed with the County Election Commission and County Registration Board as provided and maintained by the Office of Research and Statistics of the State Budget and Control Board designated as document P-89-05 P-89-06.

(C)    The polling places for the precincts provided in this section must be established by the Williamsburg County Election Commission subject to the approval of a majority of the Williamsburg County Delegation, including the Senators."

SECTION    2.    This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
