A HOUSE RESOLUTION

TO CONGRATULATE AND HONOR TIMOTHY LEHE DRAWDY II OF COLLETON COUNTY ON ACHIEVING THE ELITE RANK OF EAGLE SCOUT WITH THE BOY SCOUTS OF AMERICA AND TO WISH HIM FURTHER SUCCESS IN ALL OF HIS FUTURE ENDEAVORS.

Whereas, the South Carolina House of Representatives is pleased to recognize young people like Timothy Lehe Drawdy II of Colleton County who selflessly give of their time, talents, and energy to better their local communities, the State, and ultimately our nation; and

Whereas, participating in the Boy Scouts of America requires dedication and a long-term commitment to community service; and

Whereas, achieving the rank of Eagle Scout is a tremendous honor that very few scouts attain and is recognized as one of the most prestigious awards that a young man can earn; and

Whereas, the son of Timothy L. and Kathy J. Drawdy, this Colleton Preparatory Academy graduate joined the Boy Scouts of America as a Tiger Cub in the first grade and continued throughout his life culminating in his achieving the rank of Eagle Scout on July 30, 2004; and

Whereas, since joining the Boy Scouts of America, Mr. Drawdy has held numerous leadership positions such as Senior Patrol Leader and Patrol Leader, and he is also a member of the impressive Order of the Arrow; and

Whereas, a member of Troop 686 in the Coastal Carolina Council and the Pineland District, he also served as a mentor to younger scouts when he served as Den Chief and developed key leadership skills regarding negotiations and working with others; and

Whereas, a nature lover at heart, he chose to create two large planters of trees and flowers and place them in front of the Hampton Street Auditorium in Walterboro to increase the aesthetic appeal of the building for his Eagle Scout leadership service project; and

Whereas, Mr. Drawdy is a South Carolina son who serves as a positive role model, not just for boy scouts, but for all of South Carolina's young people. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives:

That the members of the House of Representatives of the State of South Carolina, by this resolution, congratulate and honor Timothy Lehe Drawdy II of Colleton County on achieving the elite rank of Eagle Scout with the Boy Scouts of America and wish him further success in all of his future endeavors.
