TO AMEND ACT 898 OF 1966, AS AMENDED, RELATING TO THE PACOLET STATION FIRE DISTRICT IN SPARTANBURG COUNTY, SO AS TO INCREASE THE BORROWING AUTHORITY OF THE BOARD OF FIRE CONTROL FROM TWENTY THOUSAND DOLLARS TO THREE HUNDRED THOUSAND DOLLARS.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:
SECTION 1. Section 5(h) of Act 898 of 1966 is amended to read:
"(h) To borrow not exceeding twenty three hundred thousand dollars on such the terms and for such a period as to the fire control board may seem most beneficial for the fire district, in anticipation of taxes. The indebtedness shall must be evidenced by a note or notes issued by the members of the board and the county treasurer. The full faith, credit, and taxing power of the Pacolet Station Fire District is hereby irrevocably pledged irrevocably for the payment of the indebtedness."
SECTION 2. This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
