INVITATIONS AND MEMORIAL RESOLUTIONS

To whom was referred a Concurrent Resolution (H. 4577) to request that the Department of Transportation name the future bridge that will cross the Combahee River along United States Highway 17 in Colleton County, etc., respectfully

REPORT:

That they have duly and carefully considered the same and recommend that the same do pass:

A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION

TO REQUEST THAT THE DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION NAME THE FUTURE BRIDGE THAT WILL CROSS THE COMBAHEE RIVER ALONG UNITED STATES HIGHWAY 17 IN COLLETON COUNTY "THE HARRIET TUBMAN BRIDGE", AND ERECT APPROPRIATE MARKERS OR SIGNS AT THIS BRIDGE THAT CONTAIN THE WORDS "THE HARRIET TUBMAN BRIDGE."

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives, the Senate concurring:

That the members of the General Assembly, by this resolution, request that the Department of Transportation name the future bridge that will cross the Combahee River along United States Highway 17 in Colleton County "The Harriet Tubman Bridge", and erect appropriate markers or signs at this bridge that contain the words "The Harriet Tubman Bridge."

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to the Department of Transportation.
