That they have duly and carefully considered the same and recommend that the same do pass:

A JOINT RESOLUTION

TO APPROVE REGULATIONS OF THE OFFICE OF THE ATTORNEY GENERAL, RELATING TO SECURITIES, DESIGNATED AS REGULATION DOCUMENT NUMBER 3045, PURSUANT TO THE PROVISIONS OF ARTICLE 1, CHAPTER 23, TITLE 1 OF THE 1976 CODE.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

SECTION    1.    The regulations of the Office of the Attorney General, relating to Securities, designated as Regulation Document Number 3045, and submitted to the General Assembly pursuant to the provisions of Article 1, Chapter 23, Title 1 of the 1976 Code, are approved.

SECTION    2.    This joint resolution takes effect upon approval by the Governor.

BY PROMULGATING AGENCY.

The regulations are issued under authority granted to the Securities Commissioner by the South Carolina Uniform Securities Act of 2005, which became effective January 1, 2006. The regulations set forth requirements for the transaction of securities business in South Carolina and provide guidance for those in the securities industry with respect to compliance with the South Carolina Uniform Securities Act of 2005.
