AN ACT TO AMEND THE CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, BY ADDING SECTION 57-23-835 SO AS TO PROVIDE THAT THE DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION MAY MOW ROADSIDE VEGETATION BEYOND THIRTY FEET FROM THE PAVEMENT ON INTERSTATE HIGHWAY 77 AT EXIT 65 IN CHESTER COUNTY.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

Roadside vegetation to be mowed

SECTION    1.    Article 17, Chapter 23, Title 57 of the 1976 Code is amended by adding:

"Section 57-23-835.    Notwithstanding the provisions of Section 57-23-800, or another provision of law, the Department of Transportation may mow beyond thirty feet from the pavement roadside vegetation adjacent to Interstate Highway 77 at Exit 65 in Chester County."

Time effective

SECTION    2.    This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.

Ratified the 21st day of February, 2008.

Approved the 27th day of February, 2008.
