AN ACT TO AMEND ACT 742 OF 1946, AS AMENDED, RELATING TO THE LORIS COMMUNITY HOSPITAL COMMISSION, ITS MEMBERS, POWERS, AND DUTIES, SO AS TO PROVIDE THAT TERMS OF ALL MEMBERS EXPIRE ON OCTOBER FIRST OF THE YEAR IN WHICH THEIR TERMS EXPIRE.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:
Expiration of terms for members serving on the Loris Community Hospital Commission
SECTION 1. Section 2 of Act 742 of 1946, as last amended by Act 475 of 1998, is further amended by adding at the end:
"Notwithstanding any other provision of law, terms of members serving on the commission expire October first of the year in which their terms expire, and terms of members now serving whose terms currently expire on a date other than October first are extended to October first of the year in which their terms expire."
Time effective
SECTION 2. This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
Ratified the 5th day of June, 2008.
Approved the 11th day of June, 2008.
