A SENATE RESOLUTION

TO COMMEND THE HONORABLE RUSSELL R. "RANDY" SCOTT FOR HIS DISTINGUISHED SERVICE ON BEHALF OF THE CITIZENS OF SENATE DISTRICT 38, IN CHARLESTON AND DORCHESTER COUNTIES, AND TO WISH HIM HAPPINESS AND FULFILLMENT IN ALL HIS FUTURE ENDEAVORS.

Whereas, for three years, the Honorable Randy Scott has with resolution and acumen represented the citizens of District 38, Charleston and Dorchester counties, in the Senate of this great State; and

Whereas, born in Summerville, the son of Russell and Margaret Scott, Senator Scott graduated from Trident Technical College in preparation for a career as a small businessman; and

Whereas, Senator Scott most recently has served with distinction on five Senate standing committees: Education; Fish, Game, and Forestry; Judiciary; Medical Affairs; and Transportation; and

Whereas, before his election to the South Carolina Senate, Senator Scott performed yeoman service on the Dorchester County Council, including three years in which he was chairman; and

Whereas, married to the former Amanda Abdon, he and his wife have proudly parented two daughters, Lisa and Ronda, and attend First Church of God; and

Whereas, Senator Scott's senatorial colleagues, wish to express their gratitude for his dedicated service to the people of District 38, as well as their sincere wishes for enjoyable challenges in the years ahead. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the Senate:

That the members of the South Carolina Senate, by this resolution, commend the Honorable Russell R. "Randy" Scott for his distinguished service on behalf of the citizens of Senate District 38, in Charleston and Dorchester counties, and wish for him happiness and fulfillment in all his future endeavors.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be presented to our distinguished colleague, the Honorable Randy Scott.
