AN ACT TO AMEND SECTION 7-7-110, AS AMENDED, CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, RELATING TO THE DESIGNATION OF VOTING PRECINCTS IN BEAUFORT COUNTY, SO AS TO REVISE AND RENAME CERTAIN VOTING PRECINCTS OF BEAUFORT COUNTY AND REDESIGNATE A MAP NUMBER FOR THE MAP ON WHICH LINES OF THESE PRECINCTS ARE DELINEATED AND MAINTAINED BY THE OFFICE OF RESEARCH AND STATISTICS OF THE STATE BUDGET AND CONTROL BOARD, AND TO ADD A PROVISION TO AUTHORIZE THE BEAUFORT COUNTY BOARD OF ELECTIONS AND REGISTRATION, WITH THE APPROVAL OF A MAJORITY OF THE BEAUFORT COUNTY LEGISLATIVE DELEGATION, TO DETERMINE THE POLLING PLACES FOR THE PRECINCTS IN BEAUFORT COUNTY.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:
Voting precincts revised and renamed, map number redesignated
SECTION 1. Section 7-7-110 of the 1976 Code, as last amended by Act 177 of 2002, is further amended to read:
"Section 7-7-110. (A) In Beaufort County there are the following voting precincts:
Beaufort 1
Beaufort 2
Beaufort 3
Belfair
Bluffton 1A
Bluffton 1B
Bluffton 1C
Bluffton 1D
Bluffton 2A
Bluffton 2B
Bluffton 2C

(B) The precinct lines defining the above precincts are as shown on the official map prepared by and on file with the Office of Research and Statistics of the State Budget and Control Board designated as document P-13-07 and as shown on copies provided to the Beaufort County Board of Elections and Registration by the Office of Research and Statistics.
(C) The polling places for the precincts provided in this section must be established by the Beaufort County Board of Elections and Registration subject to the approval of a majority of the Beaufort County Delegation."
Time effective
SECTION 2. This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor and applies to elections conducted after July 15, 2007.
Ratified the 22nd day of March, 2007.
Approved the 27th day of March, 2007.
