A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION

HONORING THE MANY YEARS OF SERVICE MR. WAYNE POWELL HAS GIVEN TO THE CHEROKEE COUNTY REPUBLICAN PARTY, THANKING HIM FOR HIS DEDICATED SERVICE, AND WISHING HIM WELL IN THE FUTURE.

Whereas, Mr. Wayne Powell has devoted much of his time and energy to the Cherokee County Republican Party; and

Whereas, his dedicated service can be seen through his many positions including: Party Chairman for two years, a member of the Board of State Consumer Affairs for two and a half years, and as a member of Governor Sanford's Policy Committee; and

Whereas, his outstanding leadership was further exhibited in his seven years of serving on the State Executive Committee; and

Whereas, Mr. Powell's unfaltering patience, dedication, and passion have been of immeasurable benefit to the Cherokee County Republican Party. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the Senate, the House of Representatives concurring:

That the South Carolina General Assembly honor Mr. Powell for his many years of service to the Cherokee County Republican Party, thanking him for his dedicated service, and wish him well in the future.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Mr. Wayne Powell.
