A HOUSE RESOLUTION

TO RECOGNIZE AND COMMEND THE A. C. FLORA HIGH SCHOOL FALCON BASEBALL TEAM FOR ITS OUTSTANDING SEASON AND FOR WINNING THE 2007 CLASS AAA STATE CHAMPIONSHIP TITLE, AND TO HONOR THE TEAM'S OUTSTANDING PLAYERS, COACH, AND STAFF.

Whereas, the A. C. Flora High School Falcon baseball team defeated the Seahawks of Hilton Head High School on May 10, 2007, to capture the 2007 Class AAA State Championship title; and

Whereas, Coach Andy Hallett, with long and disciplined practices, determination, and tenacity, built his baseball program into a championship team; and

Whereas, the culmination of this season was a sweep by Flora in the championship's best-of-three series, capping an excellent season for the Falcons; and

Whereas, this Falcon team has brought great pride and attention to their school and community; and

Whereas, the members of the House of Representatives are pleased to pause in their deliberations to honor a wonderful group of young men. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives:

That the members of the House of Representatives wish to recognize and commend the A. C. Flora High School Falcon baseball team for its outstanding season and for winning the 2007 Class AAA State Championship title, and honor the team's outstanding players, coach, and staff.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to the principal of A.C. Flora High School, Richard McClure, and Coach Andy Hallett.
