To whom was referred a Bill (H. 4568) to amend the Code of Laws of South Carolina, 1976, by adding Section 2-15-130 so as to require the Legislative Audit Council to submit an estimate of the cost, etc., respectfully

TO AMEND THE CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, BY ADDING SECTION 2-15-130 SO AS TO REQUIRE THE LEGISLATIVE AUDIT COUNCIL TO SUBMIT AN ESTIMATE OF THE COST OF AN AUDIT AT LEAST THIRTY DAYS BEFORE THE START OF THE AUDIT TO THE PARTY REQUESTING THE AUDIT.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:
SECTION 1. Chapter 15, Title 2 of the 1976 Code is amended by adding:
"Section 2-15-130. The Legislative Audit Council shall submit an estimate of the cost of an audit at least thirty days before beginning an audit to the party requesting the audit."
SECTION 2. This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
