VERSIONS OF THIS BILL
TO EXPRESS THE APPRECIATION OF THE MEMBERS OF THE SOUTH CAROLINA HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES TO LINDA FLOYD, STATE FORESTERS ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT, UPON THE OCCASION OF HER RETIREMENT, AND TO WISH HER SUCCESS AND HAPPINESS IN ALL HER FUTURE ENDEAVORS.
Whereas, the members of the South Carolina House of Representatives note that Linda Floyd will be retiring from the position of State Forester administrative assistant on June 30, 2008; and
Whereas, in May of 1986, she began working for the South Carolina Forestry Commission to assist landowners, foresters, and nurserymen in the Commission's Nursery and Tree Improvement Program; and
Whereas, moving to the State Foresters Office in 1994, Linda Floyd served first as an administrative assistant for field operations and later as assistant to the State Forester and the Forestry Commission; and
Whereas, she has worked tirelessly to serve the forest landowners of South Carolina and to ensure that the State Foresters Office is efficient and responsive to all citizens; and
Whereas, it is appropriate for the members of the South Carolina House of Representatives to pause in their deliberations to honor the distinguished public service that Linda Floyd has rendered the citizens of our State in her twenty-two years of service to the South Carolina Forestry Commission and express their best wishes for her good health and happiness in a much deserved retirement. Now, therefore,
Be it resolved by the House of Representatives:
That the members of the South Carolina House of Representatives, by this resolution, express their appreciation to Linda Floyd, State Forester administrative assistant, upon the occasion of her retirement, and wish her success and happiness in all her future endeavors.
Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be presented to Linda Floyd.
