TO HONOR CENTURY 21 BOB CAPES REALTORS FOR UNPARALLELED EXCELLENCE IN THE REAL ESTATE FIELD AND TO CONGRATULATE OWNERS JIMMY DERRICK AND MIKE TAYLOR ON THEIR COMPANY'S WIN OF THE PRESTIGIOUS ART BARTLETT 2100 CUP AWARD.
Whereas, at the CENTURY 21 International Convention in Las Vegas, Nevada, CENTURY 21 Bob Capes Realtors received the most coveted award in the entire CENTURY 21 System worldwide; and
Whereas, the Art Bartlett 2100 Cup Award is presented annually to one company that demonstrates the highest level of leadership, customer service, and professionalism; and
Whereas, a company that achieves this level of recognition represents the best that the CENTURY 21 System has to offer; and as such, CENTURY 21 Bob Capes Realtors is certainly worthy of this high honor; and
Whereas, Jimmy Derrick and Mike Taylor accepted the award in the presence of over five thousand CENTURY 21 System members for their demonstration, along with their highly skilled sales team, of their total commitment to the CENTURY 21 System, their home state, and each and every community they serve; and
Whereas, Jimmy Derrick began as a sales agent in the industry, advanced to a branch manager and sales manager for a multi-office company, and then became owner and president of Bob Capes Realtors. A veritable visionary with thirty-five years of real estate experience, Mr. Derrick is also a passionate fundraiser for the Children's Hospital and the March of Dimes and was honored as one of the 2006 Volunteers of the Year. He is also a recipient of the Order of the Palmetto in recognition of his service in his community, region, and State; and
Whereas, Mike Taylor entered into the real estate business in 1991, opened his own company several years later, and joined CENTURY 21 Bob Capes Realtors in 2001. Mr. Taylor developed several residential communities and greatly contributes to the company's growing success. He is also giving of his time and talents to his community and is an honored member of the State Board of Easter Seals; and
Whereas, the entire CENTURY 21 Bob Capes Realtors management team and sales associates deserve special recognition as they epitomize an entrepreneurial focus on growth, training, and incomparable service; and
Whereas, it is with great South Carolina pride that the members of the South Carolina General Assembly pause to acknowledge the extraordinary accomplishment of CENTURY 21 Bob Capes Realtors on winning the Art Bartlett 2100 Cup Award with competition from over eight thousand four hundred independently owned and operated franchised real estate offices in more than forty-six countries and territories worldwide. Now, therefore,
Be it resolved by the Senate, the House of Representatives concurring:
That the members of the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina, by this resolution, honor CENTURY 21 Bob Capes Realtors for unparalleled excellence in the real estate field and congratulate owners Jimmy Derrick and Mike Taylor on their company's win of the prestigious Art Bartlett 2100 Cup Award.
Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Jimmy Derrick and Mike Taylor on behalf of CENTURY 21 Bob Capes Realtors.
