A HOUSE RESOLUTION

TO CONGRATULATE THE J.L. MANN HIGH SCHOOL LADY PATRIOTS TENNIS TEAM, OF GREENVILLE COUNTY, FOR WINNING THE 2006 CLASS AAA STATE GIRLS TENNIS CHAMPIONSHIP TITLE, AND TO HONOR THE PLAYERS, COACH PAUL GRAHAM, AND ASSISTANT COACH TOD TUCKER.

Whereas, the J.L. Mann High School girls tennis team concluded its outstanding season by capturing the 2006 Class AAA State Championship title on November 4, 2006, defeating a strong Myrtle Beach High School team by a 4-3 decision; and

Whereas, the stellar showing of the J.L. Mann High School Lady Patriots tennis team at the title playoffs is a tribute to the fine coaching skills and abilities of Coach Paul Graham and Assistant Coach Tod Tucker, who are of the same championship caliber as their team members; and

Whereas, the accomplishments of the J.L. Mann High School Lady Patriots tennis team this year and the manner in which the members conducted themselves both on and off the court have brought deserved accolades, not only upon each member of the team and the coaching staff but also upon their school, county, and State; and

Whereas, the members of the House of Representatives desire to publicly recognize and congratulate this talented group of young women upon capturing a truly well-earned championship. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives:

That the members of the South Carolina House of Representatives, by this resolution, congratulate the J.L. Mann High School Lady Patriots tennis team, of Greenville County, for winning the 2006 Class AAA State Girls Tennis Championship title, and honor the players, Coach Paul Graham, and Assistant Coach Tod Tucker.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to the J.L. Mann High School Lady Patriots tennis team, Coach Paul Graham, and Assistant Coach Tod Tucker.
