To whom was referred a Bill (H. 4447) to amend Act 170 of 2007, relating to the creation of a study committee to examine the feasibility of natural gas exploration in the Atlantic Ocean off the coast of South Carolina, etc., respectfully

That they have duly and carefully considered the same and recommend that the same do pass:

A BILL

TO AMEND ACT 170 OF 2007, RELATING TO THE CREATION OF A STUDY COMMITTEE TO EXAMINE THE FEASIBILITY OF NATURAL GAS EXPLORATION IN THE ATLANTIC OCEAN OFF THE COAST OF SOUTH CAROLINA, SO AS TO EXTEND FROM FEBRUARY 1, 2008, TO NOVEMBER 1, 2008, THE DATE BY WHICH THE COMMITTEE IS REQUIRED TO MAKE ITS REPORT TO THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

SECTION    1.    Section 1(F) of Act 170 of 2007 is amended to read:

"(F)    The committee shall render its report and recommendations to the General Assembly before February 1, 2008 November 1, 2008, at which time it is dissolved."

SECTION    2.    This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
