A SENATE RESOLUTION

TO COMMEND MRS. ANNDEE WOOD OF COLUMBIA, FOR HER FIVE YEARS OF OUTSTANDING AND DEDICATED SERVICE AS ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT TO SENATOR JOEL LOURIE, AND TO WISH HER MUCH SUCCESS AND HAPPINESS IN ALL HER FUTURE ENDEAVORS.

Whereas, Mrs. AnnDee Wood, of Columbia, for five years has carried out her duties as administrative assistant to Senator Joel Lourie with poise and excellence; and

Whereas, her intelligence, friendliness, and organized efficiency have drawn admiration from all with whom she has worked; and

Whereas, Mrs. Wood, during her tenure as administrative assistant to Senator Lourie, has smoothed the way during his campaigns and worked on a myriad of constituent issues, helping South Carolinians navigate through federal agencies and deal with such programs as Medicare and social security, as well as aiding constituents in getting answers from local and state agencies; and

Whereas, as a hard worker who takes a genuine interest in the people she serves, AnnDee Wood will not let an issue go unresolved and works persistently until it is brought to the best possible conclusion; and

Whereas, she displays the same caring attitude in her involvement with community matters away from the office, particularly in regard to the public schools and the Jewish community; and

Whereas, with her husband, Paul, and their two daughters, Mrs. Wood will be moving to Houston, Texas, this summer to take on new responsibilities and challenges, and the members of the Senate wish to express their gratitude for her exemplary service to the people of South Carolina during her time in the Palmetto State. The people of Texas are blessed to have Mrs. AnnDee Wood joining their numbers, and she will be missed by her community in South Carolina, as well as by the South Carolina Senate. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the Senate:

That the members of the South Carolina Senate, by this resolution, commend Mrs. AnnDee Wood of Columbia, for her five years of outstanding and dedicated service as administrative assistant to Senator Joel Lourie, and wish her much success and happiness in all her future endeavors.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be presented to Mrs. AnnDee Wood.
