A BILL

TO AMEND SECTION 50-9-510, CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, RELATING TO HUNTING LICENSES FOR SMALL GAME GENERALLY; AND TO AMEND SECTION 50-9-540, RELATING TO STATEWIDE FISHING LICENSES, SO AS TO REDUCE THE FEE FOR A STATEWIDE HUNTING LICENSE, A STATEWIDE FISHING LICENSE, AND A STATEWIDE COMBINATION LICENSE FOR MEMBERS OF THE UNITED STATES ARMED SERVICES WHO ARE CONSIDERED RESIDENTS OF THIS STATE.

Amend Title To Conform

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

SECTION    1.    Chapter 9, Title 50 of the 1976 Code is amended by adding:

"Section    50-9-515.        A member of the Armed Forces of the United States who is a resident of South Carolina stationed outside of this State, upon presentation of his official furlough or leave papers, shall be allowed to fish or hunt in this State without purchasing any type of state fishing or hunting license."

SECTION    2.    This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
