A JOINT RESOLUTION

TO PROVIDE THAT THE BUDGET AND CONTROL BOARD SHALL SERVE AS THE CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER OF THE STATE FOR PURPOSES OF THE RECEIPT AND DISBURSEMENT OF FEDERAL FUNDS PURSUANT TO THE AMERICAN RECOVERY AND REINVESTMENT ACT OF 2009.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

SECTION    1.    For purposes of the receipt and disbursement of all federal funds available to the State of South Carolina pursuant to the "American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009", the Budget and Control Board shall serve as the chief executive officer of the State in lieu of the Governor.

SECTION    2.    This joint resolution takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
