VERSIONS OF THIS BILL
TO DIRECT THE DEPARTMENT OF SOCIAL SERVICES TO SUSPEND THE ENFORCEMENT OF CERTAIN CHILDCARE CENTER STAFF-CHILD RATIO REGULATIONS.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:
SECTION 1. Notwithstanding any other provision of law, the Department of Social Services shall suspend the application and enforcement of Regulation 114-504(B), which established staff-child ratios in childcare centers when children are present on the premises and during activities away from the center, and Regulation 114-504(C), which established staff-child ratios at childcare centers during nap times.
SECTION 2. This joint resolution takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
