A BILL

TO AMEND THE CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, BY ADDING SECTION 11-5-15 SO AS TO PROVIDE THAT IN ADDITION TO ALL OTHER REQUIREMENTS OF LAW, THE TREASURER OF THIS STATE ALSO MUST BE A CERTIFIED PUBLIC ACCOUNTANT LICENSED TO PRACTICE IN THIS STATE.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

SECTION    1.    Chapter 5, Title 11 of the 1976 Code is amended by adding:

"Section 11-5-15.    In addition to all other requirements of law, the treasurer of this State also must be a certified public accountant licensed to practice in this State.

SECTION    2.    This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
