A BILL

TO AMEND THE CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, BY ADDING SECTION 50-13-215 SO AS TO PROVIDE THAT ON LAKE MARION AND ON LAKE MOULTRIE IT IS UNLAWFUL TO TAKE OR POSSESS MORE THAN FIVE BLACK BASS A DAY OR TO TAKE A BLACK BASS LESS THAN FOURTEEN INCHES IN LENGTH.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

SECTION    1.    Article 1, Chapter 13, Title 50 of the 1976 Code is amended by adding:

"Section 50-13-215.    Notwithstanding any other provision of law, in the waters of Lake Marion and Lake Moultrie it is unlawful to:

(1)    take or possess more than five black bass in any one day;

(2)    take a black bass less than fourteen inches in length."

SECTION    2.    This act takes effect July 1, 2010.
