VERSIONS OF THIS BILL
TO RECOGNIZE AND CONGRATULATE FOLLY BEACH COUNCILMAN TIM GOODWIN ON THE OCCASION OF HIS RECENT ELECTION AS MAYOR OF FOLLY BEACH AND TO WISH HIM ALL THE BEST AS HE TAKES UP HIS NEW DUTIES AS MAYOR.
Whereas, a record voter turnout on April 6, 2010, garnered a new mayor for Folly Beach; and
Whereas, the outright winner of the three-way race for mayor, City Councilman Tim Goodwin captured the Folly Beach mayor's seat with 56 percent of the vote; and
Whereas, Mr. Goodwin, who has eight years' experience as a councilman, will be sworn in as mayor in May 2010; and
Whereas, he has demonstrated the leadership abilities and communication skills necessary for the efficacious carrying out of his mayoral duties; and
Whereas, the members of the South Carolina House of Representatives wish to extend mayor-elect Tim Goodwin sincere congratulations on his recent victory and best wishes for a successful term as mayor of Folly Beach. Now, therefore,
Be it resolved by the House of Representatives:
That the members of the South Carolina House of Representatives, by this resolution, recognize and congratulate Folly Beach Councilman Tim Goodwin on the occasion of his recent election as mayor of Folly Beach and wish him all the best as he takes up his new duties as mayor.
Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be provided to Tim Goodwin.
