Whereas, Mr. Adkins was also able to achieve sustainable success as a former party chairman of the Anderson County Republican Party in his two consecutive terms in 2004 and 2005; and

Whereas, Mr. Adkins, the loving husband of fifteen years to Teresa McKinney Adkins and father of three, is a devoted family man and a dedicated church member of Concord Baptist Church; and

Whereas, Mr. Adkins is a past chair and an active member of the Board of Directors with Anderson Interfaith Ministries, a non-profit organization established in 1989 to come to the aid of people in need; and

Whereas, it is appropriate for the members of the General Assembly to pause in their deliberations in order to express their appreciation for the public service of so distinguished a son of South Carolina. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the Senate, the House of Representatives concurring:

That the members of the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina, by this resolution, congratulate Mr. Rick L.
