A BILL

TO AMEND SECTION 23-41-20 OF THE 1976 CODE, RELATING TO THE ARSON REPORTING IMMUNITY ACT, TO ADD CERTAIN PUBLIC SAFETY OFFICIALS TO THE LIST OF AGENCIES AUTHORIZED TO RECEIVE INFORMATION FROM AN INSURANCE COMPANY.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

SECTION    1.    Section 23-41-20(a) of the 1976 Code is amended by adding an appropriately numbered item to read:

"( )    the Fire Chief, Sheriff, or Chief of Police having jurisdiction over the arson investigation."

SECTION    2.    This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
