A HOUSE RESOLUTION

TO WELCOME THE HONORABLE JAMES E. "JIM" CLYBURN, CONGRESSMAN FROM SOUTH CAROLINA'S SIXTH DISTRICT TO THE UNITED STATES HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES, AS HE VISITS THE FINE CITY OF GREENVILLE.

Whereas, the members of the South Carolina House of Representatives are pleased to learn that Congressman James Clyburn will visit the Upstate on February 18, 2010; and

Whereas, with tremendous demands on his time from his district and all around the country, Jim Clyburn has spent his adult life working tirelessly on behalf of our State and our Nation; and

Whereas, the third-highest ranking member of the United States House of Representatives, Congressman Clyburn has distinguished himself among his colleagues and serves as the majority whip; and

Whereas, the members of the South Carolina House of Representatives appreciate the remarkable sacrifice of this dedicated public servant as he devotes his time and talents to critically urgent debates over policy issues, as well as providing exceptional constituent services. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives:

That the members of the South Carolina House of Representatives, by this resolution, welcome the Honorable James E. "Jim" Clyburn, congressman from South Carolina's Sixth District to the United States House of Representatives, as he visits the fine city of Greenville.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be presented to the Honorable James E. "Jim" Clyburn.
