VERSIONS OF THIS BILL
TO CONGRATULATE MRS. FINLEY METZGER OF HAMPTON COUNTY ON REACHING HER NINETIETH BIRTHDAY, AND TO WISH HER MANY YEARS OF CONTINUED HEALTH AND HAPPINESS.
Whereas, the members of the South Carolina House of Representatives are delighted to learn that Mrs. Finley Metzger of Hampton County celebrated her ninetieth birthday on September 12, 2011; and
Whereas, born on September 12, 1921, in the early part of the twentieth century, she has been witness to nearly all the incredible social changes, technological advancements, and international developments that have spanned the globe from that time into the second decade of the twenty-first century; and
Whereas, a native of Gaston, Mrs. Metzger attended Garnett High School and Winthrop College; and
Whereas, her two fine sons, Randolph and James Carey Causey, have blessed her with five adoring grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; and
Whereas, a faithful member of Furman Baptist Church, she is a retired post office clerk who loves gardening in the beauty of the Lowcountry Town of Furman, where she resides with her beloved husband, Claibourne; and
Whereas, the members of the South Carolina House of Representatives are pleased to honor this daughter of South Carolina who has arrived at her ninetieth year and join with her family and friends in congratulating her on reaching this extraordinary milestone. Now, therefore,
Be it resolved by the House of Representatives:
That the members of the South Carolina House of Representatives, by this resolution, congratulate Mrs. Finley Metzger of Hampton County on reaching her ninetieth birthday, and wish her many years of continued health and happiness.
Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be provided to Mrs. Finley Metzger.
