A BILL

TO AMEND SECTION 50-11-310, AS AMENDED, CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, RELATING TO OPEN SEASON FOR ANTLERED DEER, SO AS TO DELETE THE PROHIBITION OF BAITING FOR DEER IN GAMES ZONES 1 AND 2.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

SECTION    1.    Section 50-11-310(B) of the 1976 Code, as last amended by Act 286 of 2008, is further amended to read:

"(B)    In Game Zones 1 and 2, it is unlawful to pursue deer with dogs, and it is unlawful to bait for deer."

SECTION    2.    This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
