The House assembled at 10:00 a.m.
Deliberations were opened with prayer by Rev. Charles E. Seastrunk, Jr., as follows:

Our thought for today is from Psalm 38:22: "Make haste to help me, O Lord, my salvation."
Let us pray. Gracious God, in our times of need and stress, come walk with us as we work, and strengthen us for those things we cannot handle. Grant us a restful and peaceful weekend. Continue Your blessings upon our Nation, State, and her leaders. Protect our defenders of freedom, at home and abroad, as they protect us. Heal the wounds, those seen and those hidden, of our brave warriors. Lord, in Your mercy, hear our prayer. Amen.

After corrections to the Journal of the proceedings of yesterday, the SPEAKER ordered it confirmed.
