INVITATIONS AND MEMORIAL RESOLUTIONS

To whom was referred a Concurrent Resolution (H. 3870) to request that the Department of Transportation name Highland Avenue in the City of Spartanburg "Thomas Rice, Jr. Avenue" and erect appropriate markers or signs along, etc., respectfully

REPORT:

That they have duly and carefully considered the same and recommend that the same do pass:

A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION

TO REQUEST THAT THE DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION NAME HIGHLAND AVENUE IN THE CITY OF SPARTANBURG "THOMAS RICE, JR. AVENUE" AND ERECT APPROPRIATE MARKERS OR SIGNS ALONG THIS AVENUE THAT CONTAIN THE WORDS "THOMAS RICE, JR. AVENUE".

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives, the Senate concurring:

That the members of the General Assembly request that the Department of Transportation name Highland Avenue in the City of Spartanburg "Thomas Rice, Jr. Avenue" and erect appropriate markers or signs along this avenue that contain the words 'Thomas Rice, Jr. Avenue".

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to the Department of Transportation.
