A HOUSE RESOLUTION

TO CONGRATULATE THE COOSAW CREEK SWIM TEAM FOR WINNING THE COASTAL CAROLINA AQUATIC ASSOCIATION 2011 SEASON CHAMPIONSHIP, AND TO RECOGNIZE THE SWIMMERS AND THEIR COACH ON A SENSATIONAL SEASON.

Whereas, the members of the House of Representatives are pleased to learn that the Coosaw Creek Crocodiles clinched the Coastal Carolina Aquatic Association 2011 season championship with a victory in the City Swim Meet on July 19, 2011; and

Whereas, capturing the Coastal Carolina Aquatic Association 2011 championship title meant the Crocodiles would have to end the impressive twenty-two-year reign of the Snee Farm Swim Team; and

Whereas, the Crocodiles clinched the title with a victory in the 13-14 boys freestyle relay and then capped off the night with a meet record in the girls 15-18 relay; and

Whereas, altogether, the Crocodiles collected three new relay records in fifteen events on their way to a final total of 3009.5 points, 205 more than runner-up Snee Farm; and

Whereas, Coosaw Creek Coach Jaeson May is to be commended for guiding these championship-caliber swimmers all season long by pushing them to strive for excellence and encouraging them daily so they were prepared to swim their best; and

Whereas, the House of Representatives takes great pleasure in recognizing and congratulating this magnificent group of talented young athletes on their outstanding achievements in the Coastal Carolina Aquatic Association 2011 City Swim Meet, and the members look for continued great achievements by them in the days ahead. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives:

That the members of the South Carolina House of Representatives, by this resolution, congratulate the Coosaw Creek Swim Team for winning the Coastal Carolina Aquatic Association 2011 season championship, and recognize the swimmers and their coach on a sensational season.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be presented to Coosaw Creek Coach Jaeson May.
