A BILL

TO AMEND SECTION 13-1-1710, AS AMENDED, CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, RELATING TO THE COORDINATING COUNCIL FOR ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT, SO AS TO ADD THE STATE FORESTER OF THE SOUTH CAROLINA FORESTRY COMMISSION TO THE MEMBERSHIP OF THE COUNCIL.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

SECTION    1.    Section 13-1-1710 of the 1976 Code, as last amended by Act 290 of 2010, is further amended to read:

"Section 13-1-1710.    (A)    There is created the Coordinating Council for Economic Development.

(B)    The membership of the council consists of the:

(1)    Secretary of Commerce, the;

(2)    Commissioner of Agriculture, the;

(3)    Executive Director of the Department of Employment and Workforce, the;

(4)    Director of the South Carolina Department of Parks, Recreation and Tourism, the;

(5)    State Forrester of the South Carolina Forestry Commission;

(6)    Chairman of the State Board for Technical and Comprehensive Education, the;

(7)    Chairman of the South Carolina Ports Authority, the;                 (8)    Chairman of the South Carolina Public Service Authority, the;

(9)    Chairman of the South Carolina Jobs Economic Development Authority, the;

(10)    Director of the South Carolina Department of Revenue,; and

(11)    the Chairman of the South Carolina Research Authority.

(C)    The Secretary of Commerce serves as the chairman of the coordinating council."

SECTION    2.    This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
