A HOUSE RESOLUTION

TO CONGRATULATE MICHAEL RICHARD TILLER, OFFICE MANAGER OF UPPER SAVANNAH CARE SERVICES (USCS) IN GREENWOOD, ON BEING NAMED WINNER OF THE USCS CONSUMER APPRECIATION AWARD AND TO COMMEND HIM FOR HIS OUTSTANDING SERVICE TO USCS AND THE CITIZENS OF SOUTH CAROLINA.

Whereas, the South Carolina House of Representatives is pleased to learn that Michael Richard Tiller, office manager of Upper Savannah Care Services in Greenwood, has been named recipient of the USCS Consumer Appreciation Award for his committed service to the organization and the people of the Palmetto State; and

Whereas, USCS, which serves Greenwood, Edgefield, McCormick, Laurens, and Saluda counties, assists those living with HIV/AIDS; and

Whereas, known for "going above and beyond" since the inception of his service with USCS in 2006, Mr. Tiller received the organization's coveted Consumer Appreciation Award on December 1, 2013; and

Whereas, the Abbeville resident's co-workers testify that he truly serves as the gatekeeper for his agency. His is the first face clients see when they walk into USCS offices, and his kind, warm demeanor makes these clients feel welcome. Further, he is ever willing to lend his staff a helping hand; and

Whereas, Mr. Tiller's organizational and analytical skills make him the first person called on when the agency must plan an event, and he has been instrumental in the growth of the Positive Connections Support group; and

Whereas, grateful for the dedicated labors of Michael Richard Tiller, the House of Representatives takes great pleasure in saluting him on receiving this well-deserved recognition. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives:

That the members of the South Carolina House of Representatives, by this resolution, congratulate Michael Richard Tiller, office manager of Upper Savannah Care Services (USCS) in Greenwood, on being named winner of the USCS Consumer Appreciation Award and commend him for his outstanding service to USCS and the citizens of South Carolina.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be provided to Michael Richard Tiller.
